An approach focused on unmet clinical needs

The solutions we build at Aptar Digital Health answer unmet medical needs experienced by patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs) every day. To address these unmet needs, we have developed a user-centric approach to analyze in depth patientsโ€™ daily life, medical and treatment journeys, and HCPsโ€™ ways of working.

We focus on what is important for patients and what can help make their life easier. We consider the entire environment in which they are living and evolving, both at home and in the hospital. We develop solutions that are easy to use and to understand to guarantee high engagement and satisfaction.

Medical algorithms based on cutting-edge science

Our clinical team is composed of physicians, nurses and pharmacists. They are directly involved in our Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and connected device development processes. Through proprietary tools and methods, they collaborate with ourย engineering,ย UX designers and regulatoryย teams to design medical algorithms and to ensure that our digital solutions are aligned with the best standards of care.

Clinical features and decision-support algorithms are designed in collaboration with a diverse panel of international clinical experts to provide patients with scientifically-validated educational material and self-management recommendations. Our medical algorithms are based on international guidelines, drug labels, clinical data and scientific publications. They are configurable by care teams to deliver individualized recommendations aligned with their routine clinical practices.

Compliant with regulatory requirements of Software-as-Medical Devices

Our designs meet medical device development standards such as:

  • Evidence-based decision-support and medical algorithm design
  • Clinical evaluation and evidence generation
  • Continuous benefit-risk analysis

Continuous improvement of our solutions

Our Medical Affairs team is actively involved during the deployment and in-market operation of our solutions to ensure the appropriate monitoring of benefits and risks through the analysis of:
